Lol it sure looks like they just lifted your list, rearranged the contents, and then re-wrote the captions. At LEAST they should link back to you :p

Hi, I’m the author of the Mashable toolboxes you mention. I would like to assure you that at no time was this a case of referring to your lists - it’s simply a matter of “there are only so many ways to re-invent the wheel.” If any site does a series of posts about webdesign, the same links are sure to pop up time and time again as there are a limited number of resources on the web in any given field.

I’ve been a professional writer since the mid-90’s, both in print media and online, and there is nothing I take more seriously than plagiarism and ethics. I have been ripped off a few times of my own, and I know it is not a nice feeling. I would like to assure the creators of this site, and its visitors, that your lists were not used as a basis for my work. Mashable has a policy that anytime we do use a source other than our own work, we put a (via) link at the bottom of the article, and would have done so if this was the case.

If you would like to discuss this any further with me, please feel free to email me. You can also contact our editor via the link on the site.

    Sean P. Aune

Glad to hear from you.
